Description
Ersin Pertan’s film relates a passionate love affair destroyed by the violent conquest of Constantinople and the fall of the Byzantium Empire. Anna is the daughter of the most important general of the Byzantium Empire, while George, a common man on the surface, is actually the son of the Emperor. This fact is kept secret from the public, including Anna, to ensure the continuation of the imperial blood line, should the city fall. The couple try to persevere through mounting adversity and violence, only to have their romance and lives engulfed by the chaos that surrounds them.
