Swing Time

This swingin’ blues for developing groups features a moderate tempo, written or ad lib solos for trumpet and alto, and a series of solo fills by the drummer that create a dramatic conversation with the band. Rehearsal suggestions include a detailed note-grouping analysis is provided so that all players think in terms of the same sub-phrases to achieve an expressive performance.
